Affiliate & Compensation Disclosure

Last updated: May 7, 2026

VeraLife Insurance Group believes in full transparency. This page explains every way we earn money on veralifeig.com — including referral fees from partner companies — and how those relationships never influence our insurance recommendations.

FTC Required Disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 (Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising), VeraLife Insurance Group discloses that some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click a link and purchase a product or open an account, VeraLife may receive a referral fee or commission from the partner company at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate fees do not influence which insurance carriers we recommend, how we price quotes, or any advice we provide as a licensed insurance agency. Insurance recommendations are always based on your individual needs, health profile, and budget — not on which carrier or product pays us more.

1. Insurance carrier commissions

As a licensed independent insurance agency, VeraLife earns commission from carriers when a policy is issued and remains in force. Commission is paid by the carrier out of their existing expense load and does not change the premium you pay compared to going directly to the same carrier.

Commission rates vary by carrier, product type (term life, whole life, IUL, disability, annuity, final expense), and policy duration. As an independent broker, we are not captive to any single carrier and have no financial incentive to favor one carrier over another — we shop the market to find the best fit for your situation.

2. Affiliate referral fees

In addition to insurance commissions, VeraLife participates in affiliate programs for non-insurance financial products and services. When we recommend a partner product — in a blog article, guide, quote result, email, or our Tools We Trust page — and you click through and sign up, we may earn a referral fee.

We only recommend products we have reviewed, believe are reputable, and consider genuinely useful to our audience of families, veterans, and pre-retirees. The presence of an affiliate relationship is not the reason we recommend a product; we recommend it because we believe it serves our readers. We would and do recommend some of these products even without an affiliate arrangement.

4. Affiliate tracking technology

We use Impact.com as our affiliate tracking platform. When you click an affiliate link on veralifeig.com, a cookie may be placed in your browser so the partner company can attribute the referral to us if you later complete a qualifying action. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information and do not affect your browsing experience.

You can opt out of affiliate tracking cookies at any time through your browser settings or by using a private/incognito browsing window. Opting out does not affect your ability to use any products you sign up for.

5. Editorial independence

Insurance advice is independent

Which carrier we quote you, what product we recommend, and what coverage amount we suggest are never influenced by affiliate fees. Our insurance recommendations are governed by our fiduciary obligations as a licensed agent.

We disclose on every placement

Whenever an affiliate link appears in a guide, blog post, email, or quote result, we include a clear disclosure: "VeraLife may earn a referral fee from this link at no cost to you."
