These terms govern your use of veralifeig.com. We've written them in plain English so you can read them in one sitting. They explain what this website is, what it isn't, and the boundary between reading our content and becoming a client of VeraLife Insurance Group. If you don't agree with any of this, please don't use the site.

We provide quotes from licensed A-rated carriers. Carriers approve underwriting and issue the actual policy.
Licensed in specific states
We only quote, sell, and service insurance in states where we're licensed. We won't quote you outside our authority.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using veralifeig.com (the "site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the site. We may also post product-specific or carrier-specific terms that apply alongside this document; where they conflict, the more specific terms control.
2. About VeraLife Insurance Group
VeraLife Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency headquartered at 1 Northwestern Blvd, Albany, New York 12211. Our National Producer Number (NPN) is 21426840. The agency's principal is Kerlan Lovell. We are licensed in specific U.S. states; the current list of states in which we hold an active resident or non-resident producer license is available on request at info@veralifeig.com. Some products described on this site — including specific term life, IUL, annuity, and final-expense offerings — may not be available in every state we're licensed in.
Our tagline, "Truth in Protection. Legacy in Action." reflects how we communicate with the people we serve: clearly, with citations, and without pressure.
3. Educational content disclaimer
Articles, calculators, glossary entries, FAQs, the buyer's guide, and any other content published on the site are provided for educational and informational purposes only. They are general in nature and do not take your specific financial situation, health, tax position, or legal circumstances into account.
Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or medical advice. Before making decisions about insurance, retirement, estate planning, or your health, consult a licensed professional who can review your individual situation. Calculator results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions disclosed on each page; they are not guarantees of any outcome, premium, cash value, or benefit.
4. No client relationship from website use
Browsing the site, reading our articles, downloading the buyer's guide, using a calculator, subscribing to our newsletter, or contacting us with a general question does not create a professional, fiduciary, or agent-client relationship between you and VeraLife Insurance Group.
A client relationship is established only when (a) you sign a written engagement or broker-of-record agreement with VeraLife, or (b) you submit an insurance application through us that we forward to a carrier on your behalf. Until then, treat anything you read here as general background — useful, but not personalized to you.
5. Quotes and applications
- Quotes shown on the site or generated through our quote tools are estimates based on the information you provide and the carrier's published rate tables at the time of the quote.
- Final premiums are determined by the carrier during underwriting, which may include medical exams, prescription history, motor vehicle records, financial review, and other factors permitted by state law.
- Coverage is not in force until the carrier issues the policy, you accept it, and the first premium is paid according to the policy terms.
- Carriers may decline applications, offer modified terms (for example, a different rate class), or rescind coverage based on their underwriting standards. VeraLife does not approve or deny coverage; carriers do.
6. Compensation and independence
VeraLife Insurance Group earns commission from carriers when policies are issued and remain in force. Commission rates vary by carrier, product line (term life, permanent life, annuities, Medicare, final expense, etc.), and policy duration. State insurance regulators approve premium rates; commission is paid out of the carrier's existing expense load and does not change the premium you pay versus going direct to the same carrier.
We are an independent agency. We are not a captive of any single carrier. We shop multiple A-rated carriers and recommend the option we believe best fits your stated needs and budget, disclosing meaningful trade-offs in writing.
7. Acceptable use of the site
When you use veralifeig.com, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information on quotes, applications, or any form. Insurance fraud is a crime and carriers can rescind coverage if material misstatements are discovered.
- Attempt to access non-public areas of the site, other users' accounts or data, or back-end systems.
- Scrape, crawl, copy, or republish substantial portions of the content for commercial use without prior written permission.
- Reverse engineer, probe for vulnerabilities, run denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with the site's operation.
- Impersonate any person, agent, or carrier, or misrepresent your identity, age, or state of residence.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the site — including written articles, calculators, illustrations, photography, video, the VeraLife wordmark and crest, color system, typography choices, and the underlying code — is owned by VeraLife Insurance Group or licensed to us by third parties. You may view content for personal, non-commercial use and share links freely. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission. Carrier logos and product names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
9. Third-party tools and links
Some calculators, quote engines, e-signature flows, and scheduling widgets on the site are powered by partner platforms operating under their own terms and privacy policies. Information you submit to those tools may be processed on their infrastructure. We choose vendors carefully, but we don't control their systems.
External links to articles, government resources, carrier sites, or industry publications are provided as a convenience. A link is not an endorsement of the linked site's content, products, or privacy practices.
10. Limitations of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that calculator outputs, articles, or rate displays will be free from inaccuracies.
- VeraLife is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site — including lost profits, lost data, or lost business opportunities.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the site is limited to US $100. This cap does not affect, limit, or waive your rights as an insurance applicant, insured, or policyholder under any policy issued by a carrier, or rights you may have under state insurance law.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VeraLife Insurance Group, its principals, employees, contractors, and partner carriers from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your misuse of the site, (c) your submission of false or misleading information, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of your use of the site are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Albany County, New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
To the extent permitted by law, you waive any right to participate in a class action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding against VeraLife. This waiver does not apply to claims that cannot be waived as a matter of law in your state, and it does not affect rights you have under your insurance policy or under state insurance regulators' complaint and arbitration processes.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as our products, technology, or the law evolves. When we make material changes, we'll post the updated document with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and — for significant changes — we may notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or are misusing the site. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
